Turning 8!!!

I can't believe I have a child that turned 8 and was ready to be baptized. Kade has really shown how grown up he is. I was really worried that he wasn't going to be ready or want to get baptized, but when the time came he was actually excited and said to us that he was ready and wanted to follow in Jesus' example.
Kade with his dad on May 1st 2010 getting ready to finally be an official member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latterday Saints.

I was so proud of Kade I had tears in my eyes the whole day..I'm glad he is such a good example to his little brothers.

All the cousins and friends that came to attend and support Kade.

A little Brownies and ice-cream after the luncheon

Even though we had a party for Kade on his baptism day he insisted on having some friends over on his actual birthday. I picked up the kids after school and let them play at our house for a couple of hours.
Dustin, Britton, Branson, Keefer, Kade, Alexa, Sidney, Brenden, Vanessa, Brynlee, Straton and Joel.

Opening some presents. He insisted on getting ice skates to play hockey but he settled for a hockey helmet instead. Since there is not any snow or ice to skate.

I just made a simple cake since it was such short notice.

Little Monkey!!

So this is our new and improved little Porter. He climbs everything like shelves downstairs to get a game or movie. My so called organized pantry. The other kids would scoot the chair over to get something, not Port he found a new way to get what he wants.
The other day I went into a bookstore and behold he went straight for the bookshelves and climbed right to the top and started throwing books on the floor. Unfortunately we had to leave before he made an even bigger mess.

Ben finally lost his first tooth..

Benson finally got his first loose tooth. I think when Kade was his age he had already lost 4 teeth. Benson was pretty excited that he finally has a loose tooth.
I let him wiggle on his tooth for about 3 weeks, and when his new tooth was half way up behind his baby tooth. Kade and I decided it was time for it to come out. Benson was a really good sport when we pulled it and very excited about the tooth fairy comimg for the first time.

Easter/Conference Weekend

Since Easter Weekend fell on the same weekend as Conference, we decided since it was snowing and cold that we would hang inside and work on conference packets. The kids actually enjoyed listening to the speakers and tried there hardest to complete every page. Of course Porter just colored all over his packet.
Boys at work coloring and enjoying hanging out with the family.. Kade took on the challenge of learning the Prophet and Apostles names in order. He mastered it to.. Good Work...

With Conference going on, you can't forget Easter and the boys love this Holiday as I do. We colored eggs on Saturday night and the Easter Bunny hid them around the house that night. It was way to cold to be outside. Porter loved everything he got in his basket and would run off and hide so he could eat all his candy.

When the boys woke up on Sunday Morning, Benson came straight to our room to tell us the Easter Bunny came. He also proceeded to tell us that he thought the Easter Bunny peed on our carpet. When we asked him why, he said there is a warm spot on the carpet. I'm glad he has a good imagination and keeps us laughing with the things he says.

Here is Porter when Dad took his Easter Basket Away. I know Port Easter Candy is my favorite also.

Porter turned 3!!

I love this smile. He is such a happy boy.
We took Porter to the Rex Center in Rexburg for his birthday. He is such an active little boy. He loves to climb, jump, play and expecially keep up with his brothers.

Sidney, Benson, Porter and Dreana playing in the jump house.

I made cupcakes for his party. Im not very creative so he just got frosting on top. All the kids loved them though.

Alexa trying to coax Porter and Dreana up the wall. They were sure tough little cookies. They could climb up anything. Their favorite was the big slide. They had to climb up by a rope and were not about to give up.

Grandma and Grandpa Wolz gave Porter some money for his birthday. He was so happy and wanted it to be in his pocket for safe keeping.

We were not able to take ice cream up to the Rex Center and we forgot to take matches. We decided to come home and let him have his favorite deseret, ice cream. We stuck a candle on top and let him blow out his candle.. He was so funny. I wish I would of had my video camera to capture his facial expressions.

Our little stud.. Happy Birthday Porter we sure do love you..
Things about Porter!
-He has always been pretty silent but always observant. He watches everything we do, expecially his brothers. And it always seems to suprise us some of the things he can do at his age.
-He is the sweetest little boy. If he see's anyone he runs staight to them and says their name along with "I miss you" while giving them a big hug.
-He is a major daddy's boy.
-Always has to have dad put him to bed.
-Can play the wii like a pro. (Beats everyone at Mario Kart)
-Can already identify all the letters in the alphabet.
-Has been able to count to 10 in spanish since he was 2 1/2, and count to 20 in English.
-Has been completely day time and night time potty trained since he was 2 1/2.
-He constantly changes his mind.

Porter you amaze us everyday by what you say to all the things you do. We love you so much and are so glad we have you in our family.

Roberts Elementary Science Fair

Kade and his 2nd grade class made fossils to put in the Roberts Science Fair. The 3rd, 4th and 5th graders made science projects and the 2nd graders were not required, so they made fossils instead. Kade was so excited about this project since he loves dinosaurs and eveything about them.
Here is the fossil that he made. I think it looks great.

Here is the picture that Kade drew. Mrs. Day had the kids draw pictures of the dinosaurs that made up there fossils. I think they looked so good. Kade we are so proud of you and your love of story writing and drawing.
