Back to School!!

The kids had a back to school night the eve of returning back to the grind. They were able to bring all there school supplies to put away, find there desk and meet there teacher.
Benson was so excited about going back to school, I think was a little overwhelmed.

Finding his name in all the different places in his new classroom. I hope he loves school as much as Kade does....

His face tells it all. Kade is like me, I loved school and could hardly sleep the night before the first day.

Baseball/Swimming Lessons

We put the boys in swimming lessons for the first time this year. It was such a hit and they loved them that we put them in two sessions. It's a two week session where they practice all sorts of tricks in the pool and on the last day they have to jump off the diving board. Here is Benson jumping off. We were so proud of him.
Here is Kade acting brave but I really think he was nervous. He did awsome. The first day of swimming lessons not one of the boys would even stick there faces in the water, so when we would come home each night I would fill up the bathtub and they would practice sticking there heads under the water and blowing bubbles. It really helped.

Here are the cousins that did swimming lessons together. Vanessa, Joel, Kade, Benson, Sidney, Alexa and Brynlee. They had a few friends that participated also. Benson went from an Eel to a Starfish. Kade went from a Pollywog to a Guppy. Good work guys..

I had my summer cut out for me. Kade had baseball on Tuesday and Thursday and Benson had Tee-ball Monday and Wednesday. We were going the whole month of June. Luckily it rained alot that month and some of the games were canceled to give me a brake. Here is Kade's team picture.

Benson's first year of Tee-ball, he was so excited to play since Kade has for two years and he has had to wait. He was so funny, at practice he would run his hardest and come up to me and say mom I'm listening to my coach. Then when practice would get over he would ask me if they won the game. I couldn't quit laughing he was so cute. I tried to tell him that he was just practicing. I think he is going to be our competitive one in the family.

Happy Birthday Ben!!

Benson's birthday is the 7th of July so I sometimes feel bad because we are all partied out with the Fourth of July. He is so easy going and very easy to please that we just did a water party at the house. They have been taking swimming lessons so he got alot of water toys to play in the pool. He rode his bike everywhere looking like this. I couldn't stop laughing..
Even the little ones had a good time. Porter, DreAna and Tyler played together in the little pool. Parker was there also but he slept threw the whole party.

Stay away from Ben his new water gun. He'll squirt anyone that comes near him.

More presents!

The last minute we picked out this ice-cream cake. It was pretty much the only cake they had that matched Benson's personality. He loved it.
A Little about Benson
1-He is such a sweet heart but his mood can turn instantly.
2-He is so easy to please.
3-He is so good with both his brothers, he is always helping
Porter and he is always doing for Kade.
4- He is truthful in everything, sometimes we are worried about
something he might say.
5-He is a hard worker loves to be outside working, expecially
with his dad.
6- He is constantly making us laugh with the funny things he says.
7- He has such a big heart he gets his feelings hurt easy and
dosen't want to hurt other people's feeling.
8-Sometimes we think he has anxiety because he is so worried
about certain things like everybody in the car must have there
seat belts on or he freaks out.
I could go on about Benson forever, he is such a joy to have in our family and we thank our Father in Heaven everyday for him. We couldn't live without him. He teaches all of us including Kade and Porter everyday. Benson we love you so much.

Roberts Kids Parade!!

The town of Roberts had a kids parade on Saturday, all the kids were supposed to decorate their bikes and ride toward the park. My kids were so excited they could hardly stand it. We went to the dollar store and got decorations and they decorated them.
Mark and Shauna Lounsbury were the leaders of the parade.

Jordan is holding Porter he wasn't having a good day.

Benson geared up and ready to go....

Kade had to buy this clown nose to wear. He got funny glasses to go along with them but I think he couldn't see well in them because he ditched them in the car.
Next Year I hope we can advertise the parade better because the kids thought it was so fun except there wasn't anybody watching the parade. When the kids finally reached the park they kept asking when it was going to start.

Yellowstone National Park

Grandpa Bob took the boys and I to Yellowstone National Park. I haven't been there for many years and we have never taken the boys even though we live so close. We had alot of fun.
This was not a good day for seeing game. I talked to many people who have gone this year and they saw everything from elk to bear. We pretty much only saw one group of Buffalo. Hopefully next time the kids will be able to see more animals..

We did see alot of geysers. The boys really wanted to put there hands it them. I really wanted to throw something in them, but there were signs all over that said absolutely no throwing anything in the geyers. Oh-well they were pretty cool to see.

Kade, Benson, Porter and I

Last but not least we had a picnic from the back of our car.

The Month of May!!

We went camping over the Memorial Weekend which is not normal since Jordan Farms. He is usually busy planting grain. He has been itching for a fun camping trip. We went up to Birch Creek and my family came along. It was so much fun to get away and enjoy the nice weather. Here are a couple of best cousins Porter and DreAna are pretty much inseparable. They have so much fun together. I just hope it stays that way.
All the kids made grandma and grandpa take them fishing, but Benson was so excited about catching his fish. It was a good thing they stocked the creek for Memorial Weekend because the kids had a blast catching the fish. I think the final total was 10 fish. Later that day grandma cooked them for everyone to eat. I was pretty suprised but the kids really liked eating fish..

The kids enjoying a fun short ride on the 4-Wheeler Alexa, Andrea, Hillary, Porter, DreAna, Benson, and Brynlee.

Aunt Hillary came from Washington to go camping. Everyone was so excited for her visit.

You can't go camping without smores. Grandpa, Kade and Brynlee

We had lots of yummy food that Jordan was willing to cook. Here he is grilling Steaks with Aspagus.

Porter and DreAna spent alot of time playing in Andrea's car. We have no idea why they wanted to play in the car when there was so much to do and see, but they stayed occupied and they were very easy to keep an eye on.
Mom and Andrea made strawberry short cake which was so yummy, but Hillary got carried away and we ended up in a whip cream fight. We had it all over in our hair. I think it was a tie. Thanks for the good ole days Hill...

Kade had a program at school, they sang songs and read some stories which the kids had wrote through-out the year. Kade and Page Davis reading there stories..

All the kids in Mrs. Surerus first grade class singing very well. Kade is actually sad that he is out of school.

Benson had a Pirate Party at his teachers house on his last day of school. These are his great teachers Mrs. Joan and Mrs. Jana. I can't believe he is going to Kindergarden this fall. My kids are getting so big.

Benson's preschool class at the pirate party. They had so much fun and made so many neat things like necklaces, pirate hats, treasure boxes, snakes, etc. Mrs. Jana had a blow up castle and a zip line set up for the kids to play on along with many more fun things to do.

On Saturday the day before Mothers Day my friend Audra and I took the kids to see the baby animals in blackfoot. They had a lot of fun but really loved the corn seed in a swimming pool. I told Jordan thats what we need for our kids but he didn't agree....
Benson playing in the corn seed..
The biggest hit of the day.

The giant snake was a big hit with Kade.(I can't remember what kids it was). Benson acted brave but he stayed as far away from his head as possible, notice he is barely holding it's tail.
Kade hatched a chick at school this year and brought one home. He was so disappointed when I made his give it away so hopefully seeing all these baby ducks helped feel the empty nest at home without his chick he named Chirpy.
They had a card board cow set up with utters and let the kids try to milk it. They thought that was pretty cool. I thought so also. Farm kids without the cows (thankgoodness).
Kade had a play at school called Slappy Hooper and he was Slappy. They did such a good job. I am so proud of his accomplishments. They had an award ceramony at school and out of his class he got the best writer award. They gave him a $20 gift certificate to Barnes and Noble. He was so excited.
His class that performed the play. The kids sitting in on the floor are the 2nd and 3rd graders who came to watch is play...

Kade is 7 years old !!!!

Kade had his Birthday Party at the house. He wanted to invite some of his friends and cousins. He had a lot of fun and enjoyed having some friends over. In the picture is Benson, Wylee, Branson, Britton and Kade..
He wanted an Incredible Hulk Party so we just went green.. I love that the kids are so easy to please. We decorated cupcakes and made the number seven for his age.

He invited his cousins which include Alexa, Brynlee, DreAna, Parker, Sidney, Joel, Vanessa, Tyler, Wylee, Branson, and Straton. He wanted a few friends to come so he invited Britton Berrett and Brenden Lounsbury. They had a lot of fun just playing together. I think it was the most relax pary because I didn't have to entertain the kids all day.

The night before the party Kade and I went shopping for his birthday present. It was so nice to spend some time alone with him. We went to Wal-mart first and bought everything we needed to make his cupcakes. He looked up and down every isle to pick out the perfect present. He couldn't find anything he really liked except the new and bigger bike we bought for him. After we went to Toys R Us he looked up and down the isle and spotted this baby. The Wolverine Claw.

Here he is on his new bike. Benson is so funny. The second Kade showed him his new bike he took off on Kade's old bike.
We sure have enjoyed having Kade in our family. He is so smart for his age and amazes us everyday by the things he learns and loves to do. He is so good with his younger brothers. The other day Benson said "mom do you know who my bestest friend is" my reply " who"(thinking it would be somebody in his class at school or in primary or even the most obvious answer, his dad.) his reply "Kade I can't wait for him to come home from school I miss him so much". It makes me happy to think how good of friends my boys are for eachother. We don't have the perfect days together all the time. They sure do have there moments and fight, but in the end they love eachother and would stick up for eachother through anything. Those are the moments you live for. Happy Birthday Kade we are so proud of you and love you so very much..
