Summers Reunion!!

Every year there is a Summer's reunion. It was at Porter Park this year. The kids love going because they always have fun things for them. This year they had a dunk tank, and a cotton candy machine, but the best is all the yummy food that goes along with reunions.
This is all the boys wanted to was climb this rock fireplace, and of course Porter has to be right in the middle of it.

Hunting

Here are Jordan's hunting pictures. He got this deer on the first day of hunting. He went with a couple of good friends Brodee and Court.
They were up so high on the mountain that they were able to get cell service.

I'm glad Jord got the boys there deer this year. They were so excited when dad got home from the mountains with this deer. They kept asking Jordan is they could hang the head on there wall. It's to bad they have such a mean mom because she said absolutely not.

Craters of the Moon

Grandma Terri wanted to take the kids to Craters of the Moon last Saturday. She wanted to show the kids the volcano's and let them go inside the caves. They had alot of fun exploring. This is Grandma and Grandpa down in one of the caves with the kids.
She bought all the kids these head flash lights so they could have there hands free when walking around in the dark caves. I think they wore those head lights for days. Big Hit.

Porter was exhausted and Grandpa has bad knees so they hung out and watched from a distance.

Me and the kids raced up this mountain. It was so pretty when we reached the top, you could see everything I wish I would of taken my camera up there.

Lagoon Trip with Cousins

The boys were sure glad that we made a trip to Utah to go to Lagoon with their cousins. Thanks to Savannah who got a job there this summer got us ten dollar tickets so we got in for pretty cheap. The boys had a blast and I couldn't believe how brave they were to go on the rides that they did. Benson went on all the rides he was tall enough for and Kade went on rides that I was chicken to ride like the new ride wicked. Here is Mckayla and Ben anticipating the ride.
Here is the group excluding Savannah who was still working and Stephanie who was taking the picture. I think we all had a lot of fun.

Porter had so much fun and was so dang cute but of course he was exhausted. Thanks to the good ole blankee he went right to sleep.

Tia, Ben, Seth and Kade riding on the end of the train through the Lagoons somewhat zoo.

Porter loved all the rides that he could go on. He really couldn't get enough of them. The first ride he went on was the flying elephants and he was having so much fun that when the ride stopped he put his head down thinking the worker couldn't see him. I couldn't believe how cute he looked riding these boats. He was so sad when the rides stopped.

First Day of School

Here are Kade and Benson getting ready to get on the bus. This year our school district is doing something different, instead of the Kindergardeners going half day everyday, they go 2 full days one week and three the next. Very confusing I know. So Benson was pretty excited to experience pretty much his whole first day with Kade. I was glad also because I really worry about Ben. I want his experience to be a good one the first time or he won't like it.
Walking to get on the bus...

The smile of good-bye. I didn't let them see me get emotional when they got on the bus.

At last the day is finally over. Here is a picture of them just getting off the bus. Ben looks like he had his hands full. He told me funny stories all day. Some I wasn't sure to believe or not. His Kindergarden Teacher has really long hair and he told me today that he asked her if she sits on it when she sits down. I hope she can handle the honesty of a 5 year old....

Back to School!!

The kids had a back to school night the eve of returning back to the grind. They were able to bring all there school supplies to put away, find there desk and meet there teacher.
Benson was so excited about going back to school, I think was a little overwhelmed.

Finding his name in all the different places in his new classroom. I hope he loves school as much as Kade does....

His face tells it all. Kade is like me, I loved school and could hardly sleep the night before the first day.

Baseball/Swimming Lessons

We put the boys in swimming lessons for the first time this year. It was such a hit and they loved them that we put them in two sessions. It's a two week session where they practice all sorts of tricks in the pool and on the last day they have to jump off the diving board. Here is Benson jumping off. We were so proud of him.
Here is Kade acting brave but I really think he was nervous. He did awsome. The first day of swimming lessons not one of the boys would even stick there faces in the water, so when we would come home each night I would fill up the bathtub and they would practice sticking there heads under the water and blowing bubbles. It really helped.

Here are the cousins that did swimming lessons together. Vanessa, Joel, Kade, Benson, Sidney, Alexa and Brynlee. They had a few friends that participated also. Benson went from an Eel to a Starfish. Kade went from a Pollywog to a Guppy. Good work guys..

I had my summer cut out for me. Kade had baseball on Tuesday and Thursday and Benson had Tee-ball Monday and Wednesday. We were going the whole month of June. Luckily it rained alot that month and some of the games were canceled to give me a brake. Here is Kade's team picture.

Benson's first year of Tee-ball, he was so excited to play since Kade has for two years and he has had to wait. He was so funny, at practice he would run his hardest and come up to me and say mom I'm listening to my coach. Then when practice would get over he would ask me if they won the game. I couldn't quit laughing he was so cute. I tried to tell him that he was just practicing. I think he is going to be our competitive one in the family.
